Wine Victoria meets with new Minister for Agriculture

Wine Victoria Chair Dan Sims and CEO Stephanie Duboudin recently met with the Hon. Michaela Settle MP, Minister for Agriculture, to discuss the Victorian State Budget, delivery of the Victorian Wine Strategy 2025–2030, and Wine Victoria’s key policy priorities ahead of the upcoming election period.
The discussion focused on supporting regional jobs, export growth, sustainability, and strengthening Victoria’s position as a leading wine-producing state.

ASVO Conference Highlights Industry Resilience and Innovation

Wine Victoria’s Hayley Purbrick chaired two sessions and presented alongside CEO Stephanie Duboudin at this year’s Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology (ASVO) Conference in Mildura.
The conference theme, Viticulture for Challenging Times, brought together more than 120 industry members for robust discussion and practical insights into the future of Australian viticulture.

MVWI Forum

Hayley Purbrick and Stephanie Duboudin also attended the annual Murray Valley Winegrowers Incorporated (MVWI) Forum in Mildura, which featured industry leaders including Martin Cole and Lee McLean.

The forum focused on current market conditions, sustainability challenges, and opportunities for regional collaboration.

Biosecurity Roundtable

Wine Victoria Sustainability and Innovation Lead Hayley Purbrick attended Agriculture Victoria’s annual Biosecurity Roundtable in Melbourne, focused on implementation of Victoria’s Biosecurity Strategy.

Yarra Valley Sustainability Day

Wine Victoria Sustainability and Innovation Lead Hayley Purbrick recently presented at the Project Ag Resilience – Yarra Valley Sustainability: Start Here event, which attracted a strong turnout from across the region.
Hayley highlighted how businesses can use existing operational data to track sustainability performance and support more informed decision-making.

Twenty-four Victorian wineries are showcasing their wines at Vinexpo Asia Hong Kong this week with the support of Wine Victoria’s export program in partnership with Global Victoria.

As one of the region’s leading international wine and spirits trade fairs, Vinexposium provides an important platform to connect Victorian wineries with buyers, importers, distributors, and trade from across Asia. We’re proud to see Victorian wineries showcasing the quality and diversity of our wine regions at Vinexpo Asia.
