Victorian Government extends export support program for Victorian wine into 2026

Wine Victoria has welcomed the Victorian Government’s continued commitment to growing Victoria’s wine exports, with export support extended into 2026 to strengthen international market development in priority markets.

The Victorian Government continues to back the wine sector’s world-class reputation, delivering $4.5 million in funding from 2023 to 2025 to grow Victorian wine exports and extending export support into 2026. The extension will support Wine Victoria, in partnership with Global Victoria, to deliver outbound trade missions, tastings and trade engagement in priority markets.

Victorian wine exports generated $186 million in 2024–25, and the Victorian wine industry contributes $9.5 billion to the Victorian economy, highlighting the importance of sustained investment in trade and export growth to support regional jobs and businesses.

The extension will support the delivery of targeted export activity for Victorian producers, helping build international relationships and grow export opportunities.

Wine Victoria Chief Executive Officer Stephanie Duboudin said the program extension was a strong signal of confidence in the Victorian wine sector and its export potential.

“Victorian wine has a world-class reputation, and this continued investment will help ensure our producers can build sustainable export pathways in markets where demand for premium Australian wine is growing,” Ms Duboudin said.

“By working closely with Global Victoria, we can deliver targeted trade activity that connects Victorian producers with buyers and trade partners and helps grow demand for Victorian wine internationally.”

Wine Victoria will share further details on the 2026 export program with Victorian wineries in coming months.
