Demo Day: Integrating Robots and Chemical-Free Solutions for Powdery Mildew Control
We're excited to see this innovative project off the ground, inspired by Agri Automation's presentation at the Wine Victoria Grampians Field Day in 2024, featuring Burro, the autonomous robot.
A two-year trial is now underway at Best’s Great Western, where the Burro robot is being used to deliver a non-chemical solution to control powdery mildew in the vineyard. Co-funded by Wine Australia and Agri Automation, this project brings cutting-edge technology to the forefront of sustainable vineyard management. Agri Automation, the distributor of Burro, has utilised the technology to pair with its UV-C system known as UVEX.
This exciting Burro/UVEX solution is being trialled at Best’s Sugarloaf Creek vineyard, with a demonstration day available for all attendees to see the unit in action.
