Victorian One Sector Plan Progress Meeting
More than 60 representatives from Victorian regional wine associations, producers and the Wine Victoria Board gathered at Treasury Wine Estates for a day of updates, discussion and industry insights.
Presentations were delivered by Wine Australia CEO Martin Cole and his team, Australian Grape & Wine CEO Lee McLean, Wine Victoria Chair Dan Sims, CEO Stephanie Duboudin, and Sustainability and Innovation Lead Hayley Purbrick, covering a range of key issues and opportunities facing the Australian and Victorian wine sector.
Martin Cole, Shirley Fraser and Lee McLean also joined the Wine Victoria Board meeting the following day to discuss key priorities and challenges for Victoria.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen alignment across the sector while creating space for robust discussion, different perspectives and constructive debate.
Minister for Agriculture Michaela Settle MP Visits King Valley
Minister for Agriculture Michaela Settle MP recently visited Wine Victoria Board member Katherine Brown and Ross Brown at Brown Family Wine Group to view the new cellar door development in Milawa. The visit also included a celebration with King Valley Prosecco producers Dal Zotto Wines, Pizzini Wines and Cavallini Wines, recognising the importance of Prosecco production to the King Valley and the opportunities it creates for regional Victorian wine businesses.
Wine Victoria Field Days
More than 140 growers and winemakers attended the Changing Climate, Smart Viticulture Field Days in the Mornington Peninsula and Macedon Ranges.
A highlight was hearing from meteorologist Jane Bunn on climate trends and what they mean for Victorian vineyards, alongside expert speakers sharing practical insights on adapting to a changing climate.
Participants also explored how technology, AI and data-driven decision-making can support more resilient, productive and sustainable vineyard businesses.

As part of the workshops, participants identified five key themes relating to climate, vineyard systems, technology and business resilience. These insights will help inform future Wine Victoria initiatives, resources and partnerships.

Victorian Wineries Showcase in China and Hong Kong
Supported through Wine Victoria's export program in partnership with Global Victoria, 24 Victorian wineries showcased their wines at Vinexpo Asia Hong Kong, while 18 Victorian wineries participated in the Wine Australia China Roadshow across Beijing, Nanjing and Changsha.
Strong attendance, a growing number of younger buyers and trade professionals engaging with Victorian wines, and a sold-out Yarra Valley masterclass highlighted the continued interest in Victoria's diverse wine regions. We're proud to support Victorian wineries as they build relationships and showcase the quality of Victorian wine across key export markets.
Wine Australia South East Asia Roadshow
4–16 Oct, 2026: The Australian Wine Roadshow Southeast Asia 2026 provides an exciting opportunity for Australian wineries to showcase their brands to importers, distributors, retailers, trade, and media across key Southeast Asian markets. Following the success of the 2024 program, which attracted almost 800 trade visitors, the 2026 Roadshow will visit Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.
ProWine Shanghai
10–12 Nov, 2026: ProWine Shanghai is China’s leading international wine and spirits trade fair, connecting Australian wineries with importers, distributors, retailers, wholesalers and hospitality professionals from across the market. In 2024, the event welcomed 650 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions and attracted more than 20,000 trade visitors, highlighting the scale of opportunity for Australian wineries.
2025 Premier's Trophy Winners
The Premier's Trophy brings together the top-performing wines from Victoria's regional wine shows to determine the state's best of the best. Congratulations to both wineries on these outstanding achievements!

The headlines are grim: wine is in "crisis". But is this more than a cyclical downturn? As the WHO states that no level of alcohol is safe, climate and sustainability challenges reshape viticulture, trade and tariffs become increasingly unpredictable, social connection shifts online, and younger generations turn away from wine, the industry faces not one challenge, but a polycrisis.
Join world-renowned wine economists Kym Anderson AC and Karl Storchmann, industry leaders Wendy Cameron MW, Brian Croser AO and Wine Victoria Chair Dan Sims, alongside French winemaker and economist Capucine Dentraygues, for an evening that goes beyond the headlines.
